Six months ago today, I lost my little brother and one of my best friends. The void he has left in my life and in the lives of so many remains inexplicably deep. My heart breaks each and every day for my sister, for my parents and those who knew and loved Kevin and still feel his loss. It seems cruel that this anniversary should fall two weeks from Christmas Eve, a day my family has always held near to our hearts, but I’m confident that with the support of our friends and family and from one another, we will get through and even enjoy the Holidays as we always have. Because that’s what Kevin would want. He would want us to laugh, to enjoy the Holidays and to be grateful for all that we have, for the incredible love and support lent to our family by so many of you but, mainly, for one another. Merry Christmas, Kevin. I miss you and I love you.
The things we do for the ones we love. Made a donation to @lifeatpurdue in my brother’s name. One dollar for every year of his life. This @iubloomington grad will make this donation to my brother’s alma mater every year for the rest of my life. #givingtuesday #missyou #ripkevin #givewithmeaning #purdue #iu #gift #brother #love (at Western Golf Association)
